Super Saturday – May 12th 2018 – England O45 Masters vs Bournemouth HC Ladies

Bournemouth Hockey Club are proud to welcome England Hockey Masters’ Over 45 Ladies to Chapel Gate for a competitive game against some of Bournemouth Hockey Club’s current and past players, plus a few guests from Trojans Hockey Club.

This match will be the third in the England team’s warm up before their Home Nations tournament in June and the World Cup at the end of July in Barcelona.

The National team, which this year welcomes BHC members Pip Woods and Helen Parr-Phillips, have already won their first match against Guildford Ladies 1st XI 6-3, and are taking on the Over 40s North team in Sheffield this weekend.

We are honoured that they will be bringing their squad to our hallowed turf, and would be grateful for any supporters on the day to cheer both the Bournemouth ladies on, but also show your support and offer a huge club welcome to our national side. Some fantastic hockey will be on display from both sides!!

Pushback will be at 1pm, Bournemouth Sports Club, Chapel Gate, Bournemouth.

At the same time our Under 18 Boys will be pushing back at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in their bid to become National Cup Champions. May 12th is promised to be a truly momentous day for the club whatever the outcome at both venues, and there will certainly be a buzz in the air as we keep informed of the boys progress as well.
