BHC International Masters representation continues to flourish

Meet this season’s England and Scotland Masters men who are representing their country at tournaments home and away this summer.

Sandy Macdonald, Scotland Over 65s

For the first time in his career Sandy Macdonald will be playing for Scotland’s Over 65 team. He recently played in the Celtic Cup in Lille (20-22 April) as part of the “Great Grand Masters” team who finished second behind Wales.

He also received a notable mention in the final tournament report – for his first match performance against Ireland. Good work Sandy!

This was a good team performance, debutants Sandy Macdonald and Johnny Sudale adding extra quality in midfield.

Sandy will be representing Scotland in the Home Internationals this month in Dublin (11-13 May 2018).

Colin Kimber, England Over 70s

Colin has once again been selected to represent England in the Over 70s team. He’ll be “padding up” in his goalkeeping kit at the Home Internationals and heading to the World Cup in Barcelona in the summer.

Colin’s international career is exceptional, over the past 10 years he has represented England in Europe, Hong Kong and Australia plus home internationals. He has played in four World Cups, winning 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal and four European Cups, taking home 3 gold & 1 silver medal.

Bring home another medal (or two) Col!

Brian Perryman, England Over 70s (captain)

Brian will once again join Colin in the England Over 70s team, captaining the side for another year, and will head to Dublin next week for the Home Internationals and then Barcelona for the World Cup which takes place between 20th – 30th June.

Brian also has an impressive trophy cabinet with winning appearances in Masters hockey tournaments since 2002. He’ll be captaining the England Over 70s for the third year in a row, and was previously captain of England U65s from 2011 through to 2013.

Matt Collison, England Over 35s

Matt will be representing England at the EXIN Masters World Cup in Barcelona, 25th July – 5th August.

No stranger to England duty, Matt will be looking to add another medal / cup to his trophy cabinet as the England Over 35s take on 6 other nations at the tournament held at Club Egara, Barcelona.
