Date for your diaries – May 12th 2018, 1pm, Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre. Bournemouth U18 Boys will compete against Marlow U18 Boys in the England Hockey National Cup Final at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre. After a thrilling 4-1 semi-final victory on home turf last month against Leek, our under 18 boys will head to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in a bid to become National Champions. Last night members of Bournemouth Hockey Club celebrated the end of another successful season on home turf at Chapel Gate. As chairman and treasurer for the club Ian Barber stepped up to announce this season’s club awards, with the help of GB U21 International, and former BHC junior Tim Nurse. Before the awards began Ian made some notable mentions for the FIVE members of BHC representing their country in National teams this year. Three BHC Members Selected For England Duty

It’s been a great week for international hockey news this week, with not one, not two, but THREE Bournemouth hockey members being selected to represent England. In our junior section, Nick Nurse’s hockey achievements go from strength to strength, with his latest accolade… being selected for the final 26 for the England u16 squad!! An amazing achievement and fully deserved for all his commitment to improve all aspects of his game. Fees help to cover your membership to Bournemouth Sports Club, and to also pay for coaching, the use and maintenance of hockey club facilities and insurances. In a week’s time four ladies from Bournemouth Hockey Club will join thousands of runners along the seafront to take part in the Bournemouth Half Marathon as part of the Bournemouth Marathon Festival.
